South Texas

Most of my South Tx. collection was put together while I spent 8 years working in Dallas. I have tons of surface find pooters but nothing that could compare with the artifacts I purchased while working in Dallas. I miss the money I made in Dallas but I sure don't miss the traffic. While living there I came up with a great source and a perfect opportunity to upgrade my collection and took advantage of it.

South Texas Dart Points

It's amazing all the triangle points that can be found in the South Tx. brush country. I've been on surface hunts were I could bend over and pick up 3 or 4 common triangle points on the same bend. Little did I know or think about it at the time it was during the major drought season we had back in 1995 or 1996. I've been back to some of the sites that really produced only to find so much grass growing that finding points there was now next to impossible.
One of my favorite points is the Shumla point which I refer to as a baby Bell. I have more than a few Shumla points in my collection from a small size to a larger size. I also find the Duran point type very impressive.
